The REENTRY Center of Brevard

Here at The Reentry Center of Brevard, we are very proud of our clients and their Stories of Hope! Please see the latest from the Dianne Spangler (DS) Project: 

On November 4th, we secured our 101st Driver’s License with our client TP who is 32 years old.  For the last 13 years, he has been in and out of the Brevard County jail 11 times.  He has been incarcerated in the Department of Corrections 4 times and his latest release was December 8, 2021.  

We started working with TP July 18, 2022.  The first thing he wanted help with was his driver’s license. He has not had a driver’s license in over 12 years and to clear his driver’s license was a challenge for sure.  The Reentry Center of Brevard was up to the challenge!  

The Reentry Center of Brevard helped TP with securing his food stamps and enrolling him with the Brevard Health Alliance, so he now has a medical home. We have already done a warm handoff for him to Eckerd Connects. Eckerd Connects will work with him on housing assistance for him and his child. 

TP is working with DCF, Brevard Family Partnership, and Family Allies as he works towards securing custody of his 3-year-old. The Reentry Center of Brevard will support our client as he becomes the father he wants to be.  It is our hope that soon, TP will work towards his GED and then Career & Technical Education provided by one of our partners.  

Kudos to our Case Manager (Driver’s License Extraordinaire), Cindy Bridges!  Your diligence as you help our clients is greatly appreciated!  You walk beside our clients and make the crooked places straight as we remove all obstacles to obtaining a valid driver’s license.  

Kudos to Case Manager, Valarie Browder, for keeping this client on track, for mentoring him, and for being there for him on November 4th as he met the goal of securing a valid driver’s license! Valarie, you saw firsthand the sheer happiness of accomplishing something our clients think is out of reach for them.
